I am both light and dark; alive and dead; sinful and redeemed.  This stance allows me to face more deeply all that is left to be redeemed in my being, while not denying the glory of what has been revealed to me and done within me.  — Dan Allendar —
Saying yes to Christ is daily.  Santification takes a lifetime.  You are not immediatley perfected nor will you ever be on this side of death, yet we strive to immulate the one who was perfect.  To thee O Lord to thee.

One who hears God’s voice is operating from the very foundation and framework of all reality, not from the fringe” (D. Willard)….. Hearing this voice requires our careful attention because our own wants, neuroses and activities as well as the people and dealings of life scream at us so loudly.  They overwhelm us with their presence…The visible world daily bludgeions us with its things and events.  They pinch, and  pull and hammer away at our bodies….But instead of shouting and shoving, the spiritual world whispers at us ever so gently. (T. Hunter)
During this advent season, may we slow, may we not get caught up in the madness of the schedule, the pull of the busyness of the holiday season, the pinch of our crowded lonliness.  May we be willing to sit, may we be willing to prepare the way for the Lord Christ, may we listen for that still small voice, and may we rest on the very foundation of reality.
